IBM delivers a "treasure trove" of undocumented commands free to use by all z/OS
V2R5 and 3.1 clients. Familiarity with these features can provide significant
productivity gains to serious bug hunters and even part-time casual dump readers
can benefit from the high-level functions that provide otherwise-hard-to-find
problem overview information. These undocumented commands are not supported, so
if and when they don't work, we won't expect IBM to fix them. But when they do
work (which is almost all the time), they provide invaluable information and
insight that can help z/OS problem diagnosticians shave hours off dump diagnosis
time. William Penn said, "Knowledge is the treasure of a wise man." Come to this
