Own Your Z Journey: Master Nonverbal Communication

Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026 | 1-3 p.m. ET

Sponsored by Broadcom

This session is EXCLUSIVELY for New-to-Z early career mainframe professionals working in mainframe IT organizations.

In today’s fast-paced career landscape, it’s more important than ever to stand out from the crowd. So why not polish your professional presence by adding successful communication and presentation skills to your arsenal? After all, a successful career in technology takes more than just the right IT expertise. You want to be able to make your voice heard. You want to deliver important messages with confidence, communicating your ideas in a way that captures attention, moves people, and inspires them to action.

This session is geared for those who are New to Z (within the first five years of their mainframe career), and offers insights into what makes you effective as a communicator — what works and what doesn’t — especially when it comes to your nonverbal behaviors. You’ll learn from professional trainers who have worked with top-performing companies across multiple industries. In the session, you’ll learn how to:

  • Define the specific qualities you want the audience to see in you
  • Exhibit the nonverbal behaviors that’ll help create that positive image
  • Connect naturally and authentically with people by turning presentations into conversations
  • Become more confident and competent at speaking, whether to one or 1,000

After the workshop, attendees are invited to attend the Students and New to Z Networking Reception on Sunday evening from 4-5 p.m. ET.
