Choose your own z/OSMF labs (can all be BYOD): Updating Software with z/OSMF
(New) Come learn how to install any z/OS PTF with a streamlined GUI interface.
This is a new function in z/OSMF that help you install any SMP/E-packaged PTF
onto your system. (Your existing batch method is still supported, available, and
fine to use too). Those that prefer not use to use a batch job will want to try
out this method. z/OS Installation Strategy Come and experience IBM's new
software installation strategy. You'll gain hands on experience at utilizing
z/OSMF to both package and install a z/OS software instance. Using z/OSMF
Workflow for z/OS V2.5 Upgrade! A new way of helping to manage and plan for z/OS
migration has hit the streets! By using z/OSMF Upgrade Workflows, you can help
track, assign, and manage your z/OS migration. This lab will not cover all the
workflow capabilities, but rather all the aspects of workflow that you'll need
for your z/OS migration work. Newer capabilities have been added to the z/OS
Upgrade Workflow, and this lab covers those newer items. Create your own z/OSMF
Workflow with the Workflow Editor Do you want to create your own z/OSMF
Workflow? This lab will use the z/OSMF Workflow Editor and show you how to
create your own steps, variables, and execute JCL, and end up with your own
Workflow that you can share with users! Using z/OSMF Software Management for
Installation Learn how to use the z/OSMF Software Management function to look at
software instances (products, features, and FMIDs), look at specific properties,
data sets, end of service reports, sysmod searching, look for missing fixes,
comparing software instances, validating a software instance, and viewing
