Native SQL procedures (stored procedures written in SQL procedure language, or SQL PL) were introduced with Db2 9 for z/OS, but at many sites this important Db2 capability had not been fully leveraged. In this session, you'll learn about SQL PL and how it can be used in a Db2 for z/OS environment, functional advantages of native SQL procedures, coding and architecture recommendations, debugging, and managing native SQL procedures.
