Cloud and mobile applications have reshaped the way enterprises and systems
interact. The dominate standard for new application development for these new
environments uses RESTful APIs for sending and receiving JSON formatted messages
to back-end services. IBM z/OS Connect OpenAPI provides a framework that enables
new application development using RESTful APIs and JSON messages for accessing
z/OS based services and data as well as when developing new cloud and mobile
applications for the enterprise uniting z/OS into the Cloud infrastructure. The
administration of Liberty servers with the z/OS Connect product is probably new
to your organization. But even if Liberty or z/OS Connect OpenAPI is not new in
your organization, attending this workshop should make the administration and
management of Liberty and z/OS Connect OpenAPI servers simpler and easier. This
session is for those who want to hear recommendations or best practices on how
to simplify the OMVS environment where the configuration of Liberty and z/OS
Connect OpenAPI is maintained. For those who want to learn about the sources of
information to be used in problem determination and problem isolation. And for
those who want to understand the facilities available with Java and z/OS to
monitor Liberty and z/OS Connect OpenAPI servers'' consumption of system
resources.
